In the daily maintenance process of the LED display, we do not need to disassemble the entire LED screen. All the electronic components (LED modules, power supplies, receiving cards, and sending cards) of the LED display can be disassembled for maintenance or replacement after installation.
Front maintenance (front access) and rear maintenance (rear access), they are 2 maintenance methods of LED display.
What is the Front Maintenance (front access)?
Front maintenance is that all the electronic components can be maintained or replaced at the front of LED display. You can stand in front of LED display and maintain or replace the LED modules, power supplies and receiving cards. But you need to take off some modules first, then you can maintain or replace power supplies and receiving cards. Because all other components are assembled behind LED modules. The surface of LED modules is the screen of LED display. It’s ideal to be used anywhere.
What is the Rear Maintenance (rear access)?
Rear maintenance is that all the electronic components can be maintained or replaced at the rear of LED display. You can stand at the rear of LED display and maintain or replace the components inside LED display. Normally the display will have doors at back side to keep dust and rain out. It requires about 80cm (3ft or 32inches) width space between the screen and the wall.
What is the advantage and disadvantage of front access?
1. Saving installation space.
It doesn’t require space at back side.There will be no gap between wall and screen. The whole screen requires less space. Also it doesn’t require ample space allocated for maintenance works.
2. Ultra slim cabinets.
All LED modules are assembled with magnetism. The magnetic locking requires less metal of the cabinet. The cabinet can be lighter in weight and thinner.
3. Saving wall structure.
Thanks to light and slim cabinets, the wall frame for installation is less than rear installation.

All cabinets can be mounted easily with less frame structure.
4. Easy to assemble and disassemble LED modules.
The LED modules are attached to the cabinets with magnets. You can assemble and disassemble easily with magnet tool.
5. Easy to find the fault modules.
It is front maintenance LED display. You find the fault modules easily, then you can replace them directly.
6. Less maintenance cost.
It doesn’t require more people to do maintenance. One person can do the maintenance job.

All other components are assembled behind LED modules. You have to take off LED modules first, then you can assemble and disassemble them.
The cost of LED display with front maintenance service is more expensive than with rear maintenance service.
3. Heat dissipation.
The front maintenance LED display usually have a high density of pixels, and special attention should be paid to ventilation and heat dissipation to avoid affecting performance.
What is the advantage and disadvantage of rear access?
1. Easy to assembled and disassembled all components.
You can see all components at the rear of LED display. Then all components can be assembled and disassembled at the rear of LED display.
2. Heat dissipation.
Rear access requires ample space for maintenance. This makes it easy to dissipate heat.
The cost of LED display with rear maintenance service is cheaper than with front maintenance service.

4. Thicker and heavier cabinets.

5. Difficult to locate the fault modules.
You can't see the fault modules at the rear of LED display. You’ll have to spend a lot of time in trying to find the fault modules and then replace them.
6. More maintenance cost.
The whole structure for LED display is bigger and heavier. It requires more people for maintenance.
Outdoor front access LED display
Front maintenance LED modules and front access LED cabinets, they are 2 kinds of outdoor front access LED display.
Front maintenance LED mdoules
The modules are attached to the cabinets through screws attached to the front. It is waterproof, reliable and perfect for outdoor installations. You can insert and remove the front LED modules very fast.
There are 2 kinds of front maintenance LED modules, one is LED module with normal screws, the other is special screws.
LED module with normal screws
So far by now, we only have P10 outdoor LED modules with normal screws.
LED module with special screws
We have P4, P5.33, P6.67, P8 and P10 outdoor LED modules with special screws.
Front access LED cabinets
The cabinets are with hydraulic rods. But the height of this cabinet has limited. We recommend that the maximum height is 1.5m (5ft or 60inches).
